Project: Educational oral history project with activities for children

Client: The Education Service for Bedford Museum and the Cecil Higgins Art Gallery and funded by the HLF

Bedford Museum had created a resource of audio recordings of local people's memories of Bedford in the war, and an archive of photographs and artefacts.

The project was to deliver a number of presentations to be used by teachers on classroom whiteboards or computers, a teacher resource of images and audio clips, teacher notes, and a series of interactive exercises presenting the resources for pupils to use on the computer.

Features:

Flash audio - with transcipts for accessibility

Sequenced interactive teacher presentations (non-Flash) providing the basis for a lesson and allowing access to further resources.

Activities - including audio clips, exploring the resources, zooms, writing frames, and creating online posters.
